Raw edge appliqué is used to create this panel featuring pomegranates created from beautiful batik fabrics. This design focuses on embroidery filling stitches which will add dimension and texture to applique.
All shapes are edged with simple blanket stitch, then creative stitching is used to add pattern and texture to the leaves and fruit. Stitches include palestrina stitch, bullions, French knots, feather stitch and fly stitch.
This class is suitable even for people who have never tried embroidery before - all skill levels are welcome!
